Yes, I’m a few days late but our Thanksgiving was great fun. We got together with two of our neighbors as well as another family. I told PC that a neighborhood Thanksgiving is absolutely the way to go because when you have 3 ovens going simultaneously all food can be ready at the same time and actually still be hot. Not to toot my own horn but I think my sweet potato dish won first prize. But there was some very tasty mac and cheese that was, in my opinion, just as worthy of a blue ribbon. 

We ate until we were fat and happy, had a big ‘ole dessert buffet, and watched the kids jump off the couches onto cushions with only a few casualties. Topics of discussion included why everyone needs one fighter pilot in their life, why nursing at Thanksgiving is superior to being pregnant on Thanksgiving because you have a calorie deficit thing going on, what is sweeter white or red, the commissary was out of whipping cream- but what if they had run out of butter instead? (THAT would be a real Thanksgiving feast kill), what happened in India, and then there was the usual joint meeting of the services between the men who like to discuss the ins and outs of their respective services (Marines, Air Force, Army).
