The Bad News Is
Evidently the ice cream scoops were limited edition. I have searched all the 100Y stores I can think of and I found 1. You know you’ve lived in the same place for a really really long time when the 100Y store starts cycling out items. The good news is I got lots of other fun stuff (especially for you Hello Kitty seekers). I was up last night labeling and taping boxes, I’ll send the ones that are done with the husband to get shipped today.
In other news our house closing was today and we are no longer homeowners. Im not sad about being rid of the headache but Im a little sad thinking about someone else walking into our house and calling it their own now. Which is really dumb because we’ve lived in the cement bungalow for way longer than we ever lived in the Colorado house. It wasn’t like we brought babies home to that house or raised kids in that house or celebrated huge momentous occasions in that house. Maybe its just because I liked it so much. But, its just a house. And if we stick with this Marine Corps thing there are going to be many more houses we call home.

I finally got my subscription to your blog to work! I don’t know what the issue was but my google reader was protesting.
Congratulations on closing on the house. I think that by the time we are to that point I will be too tired and exhausted with the whole process to be sad. Maybe you’ll reminisce at a later point and feel the loss but for now you may just feel like “get me outa here!” I know I do!
