You Know Im Right

Just agree with me. I told PC on Tuesday, “tomorrow we need to pack.” He was ambivilent and thusly, no packing was done on Wed. despite my crystal ball telling me we should. Waiting til the last minute results in things being forgotten or mispacked, yes? And while I know he is great at packing in 20 minutes, the only person he ever packs for is himself. Easy: clothes, toothbrush, razor.

Last night at 9pm I was exhausted and PC got annoyed with me because I kept snapping at Nathan to quit moving stuff around as we were trying to pack (lesson learned the HARD WAY when we went to Tokyo and Nathan had “helped pack” and Nana (his blankie for the uninitiated) was forgotten). PC kept telling me he was just excited and he wanted to help and I should just chill out and I was all, “fine, you do it. I dont know WHY we are packing at 9pm the night before we are leaving (and furthermore why Nathan is still awake).”

Well, McFussy now needs my attention and I think we all know where this story is headed, right? Husbands- when your wives tell you they don’t want to wait until the night before they are leaving to pack, just listen, dont ask questions. That way, the next day when your wife is frantically looking for the baby tylenol for the screaming teething baby she won’t have to call you at the office and ask you where it is because she would have NEVER PACKED IT IN THE CHECKED LUGGAGE in the first place.

Also, she would have taken some care when packing fancy backpack. Because if fancy backpack was PACKED RIGHT boxes of raisins and cheese crackers and Dora fruit snacks wouldn’t come spilling out as soon as the zipper was opened. Ah…husbands, they are truly wonderful. Mostly because they have such wonderful wives. ;)

Gotta run.
