I so wish I could write like this. Its one of those skills that is so classy and timeless. Kind of like playing the piano, something I wish I had stuck with. The older I get the more I like doing things/ making things/ giving things the old fashioned way. Handwritten notes. Homemade gifts. Things that show someone’s talents.

I think (when Im putting EFFORT into it-as opposed to scribbling a grocery list) I have fairly nice handwriting (especially for a lefty) and have always liked penmanship/different styles of writing. For our wedding I bought a calligraphy book and did the best I could on our wedding envelopes. I found the ‘Pen and Ink’ by fooling around on Etsy (have I mentioned how much I love that website?) and am in awe of being able to write so precisely; perfect spacing, straight line (that would be my downfall), perfect slant and just plain pretty. Maybe I’ll take up calligraphy in my free time, which is to say, um…someday.
